This lamp was originally designed as the light source in officer's cabins and saloons in the late 19th century. It features four-way gimbals, and a 5" handmade acid frosted globe with ship motif. The globe is securely fastened with a clip-on spring in stainless steel. It is made from hand polished and lacquered brass. It has a .24" circular burner, it weighs 4lbs. 8oz., it is 15.35" tall, it's oil container capacity is 4 oz. and it's burn time is +/- 9 hours with clean burning lamp fuel. It was designed and made using models and tools dating back to the end of the 19th century. It is crafted from the finest quality brass available, it is numbered individually and it is hand lacquered, requiring no polishing.
