This is a handsome authentic Damascus Steel Bowie Knife with Stand and Sheath. While other companies offer "Damascus" steel knives that are simply plain steel blades with an etched swirl pattern, ours are true handmade folded steel Damascus blades and no two are alike. The knife comes complete with a fine, hand sewn leather sheath and a beautiful solid rosewood display stand. If you have ever priced rosewood, you know that it is so expensive that it is sold by the inch rather than by the foot. The Damascus Bowie's blade is made of carbon Damascus steel and is 0.27 inches (6.8 mm) thick and 1.8 inches (4.6 cm) wide. This knife measures 15 inches (38 cm) overall and weighs 1 pound 8.3 ounces (0.7 grams). The thick high quality top grain leather sheath weighs 3.1 ounces (88 grams). The solid rosewood stand measures 9 11/16 inches (24.6 cm) long and 3 inches wide (7.7 cm). The blade is shipped unsharpened but can easily be sharpened to a razor sharp edge.
