The vintage flight wooden propeller measures 73.2" x 5.9" x 3.5". This propeller is an authentic reproduction that is made of Kamchatka birchwood and is expertly aged. It features brass covered edges, aged metal hub & hand distressed French finish. This item can be hung vertically, horizontally or at an angle. The mounting hardware is included. Wood propellers used to be replaced as often as tires. Old ones were usually taken home, completed with a clock and hung over the mantel by mechanics, pilots and flight-crew. The typical ww1 flying ace was accustomed to wrecking a plane every now and then. For good luck he took the propeller home a turned it into a clock.
